Joy is often found despite hardship, sadness, and disappointment. It seems many people leave this world shortly before the Christian World celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. This month my husband and I both lost good friends. We feel sad but know those saints are rejoicing in Heaven. Recently, I had a dream that I told a friend about Sandra’s passing. She hadn’t heard. “Before you go, I have a gift for you,” she told me. “What is it?” I asked. “Your dancing shoes!” Then I woke up. I felt a new sense of joy that my sadness was Sandra’s joy, and she was happy with her new life in Heaven. I hope if you’ve lost loved ones, you will find joy in Christmas, just knowing believing in Jesus as Lord guarantees a better existence.
