Unlocking the Heart

Valentine’s Day is a twenty-four-hour period once a year on February 14 to honor Saint Valentine, a man named Valentinus. He ministered during the early days of Christianity, marrying soldiers who were not permitted to marry by Roman officials. He also ministered to Christians persecuted for their faith in Jesus. Today, millions of people phone call, email, send cards, or spend time with the people they love the most. God also sent us a Valentine when He offered His Son Jesus to the world. By Jesus’ acts of goodness and kindness, He unlocked God’s heart and forgave all people of all ages of their misdeeds and sinful acts. All Jesus asks is for people to believe in Him, what He did on the cross in shedding his RED blood, and He will open the doors of Heaven widely so we can know His father. The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost love us and want the best for us as we live out our lives on earth. John the Disciple said it best: “For God so loved the world, that He gave is only Son, that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish,” John 3:16. Let us celebrate love today and rejoice in our salvation!
